The Whispers of the Invisible

Touch

Slowly, carefully, you reach out. Placing your human-sized finger next to the machines of the tiny city is like being a friendly giant. It feels exciting and a little bit scary, too. But then, as your skin gets real close to the speck of dust hiding a fairy city, you feel something very unexpected – the tingle of electricity. It's not super strong, kind of like a friendly tickle! You’ve discovered another cool magical thing about the tiny invisible fairies. They understand and use electricity even though tiny and invisible.

This is probably why, when you look at the machines they're working on, they look way too fancy for fairy-sized engineers! You thought fairies lived in the woods, warbling carols to the moon and dipping in dew drops. But these tiny fellows are hard at work, next to winding copper wires and silver gears, tinkering with tools smaller than sesame seeds.

Remembering how visible you are to them, and how effectively your giant movements can cause either welcome surprise or absolute turmoil, you decide carefully to think about what to do next. Should you press on and tease the electric tickle a little more in curiosity? Or would it be safe to retreat and let the tiny workers proceed with their work, watching them from a distance, feeling a new kind of happiness? It's up to you!
